Hoist your sombrero and head East, hombre! On May 5th, Leche De Tigre will host a special Cinco de Mayo show at Pahoa’s Akebono Theater. The historic Akebono was restored and renovated a few years ago and is one of the oldest operating theaters in the state of Hawaii, built in 1919. (Rumor has it that Zorro took a Hawaiian vacation in the small village town of Pahoa in his retirement days, making his villa out of what is now the theater.)

Leche De Tigre invites you to groove once again at the historic Aloha Theater in South Kona on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Tickets are available online now and at Kiernan Music, Patz Pies in Kealakekua, Ceviche Dave’s & Soundwave Music in Kona.
This show will start with a quieter acoustic set and follow after an intermission with a full set of danceable original music. The show is open to all ages.
This will be Leche De Tigre’s first show at the Aloha Theatre in 2012, following a sold-out New Year’s eve performance.
The Aloha Theatre is a small theater venue with just under 300 capacity. Buying your tickets in advance is recommended.
LDT shirts, CDs and other merch will be available at the show, with a percentage of sales benefiting the Kona California Scholarship Fund.

Our first theater show of the year is a return to Honoka’a People’s Theatre, with the amazing Medicine For The People on Saturday, February 18th. Tickets are available online for $15.
Music starts at 7 PM. Leche De Tigre and Medicine will each play a full set of original music. This show is open to audiences of all ages.
LDT shirts and Lactophilia CDs will be available at the show, with a portion of sales benefiting the Kona Montessori Art Program.
